The Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science \u2013 INESC TEC is an Associate Laboratory with more than 30 years of experience in R&D and technology transfer. Present in 6 sites in the cities of Porto, Braga and Vila Real, INESC TEC incorporates 13 R&D Centres and one Associate Unit with complementary competences, always looking to the international market.<\/p>\n

On the 1st October 1999, the Institute of Electronics and Telematics Engineering of Aveiro (IEETA) was established in Aveiro (Portugal). It is a private non-profit-making scientific association made up of the University of Aveiro, the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Jacinto de Magalh\u00e3es and the GrupUnave. Within IEETA, is the Research Unit 127\/94, approved by the Portuguese Ministry of Science and Technology, which was formerly INESC – P\u00f3lo da Universidade de Aveiro.<\/p>\n

The mission of this Institute is the following:<\/p>\n

Multidisciplinary research and advanced development in Electronics and Telematics, integrated in the international research community and contributing to national technological and social development, being Healthcare one of the areas of intervention.<\/p>\n

Instituto de Telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es (it) is a private, not-for-profit organisation, of public interest, whose mission is to create and disseminate scientific knowledge in the field of telecommunications.<\/p>\n

It has three poles in Aveiro, Coimbra and Lisbon, and delegations in Covilh\u00e3, Leiria and Porto. IT was granted the status of Associate Laboratory and gathers the expertise of more than 150 research with a PhD in areas related to telecommunications.<\/p>\n
